This worries me... a lot!

Crowd queues to be first for iPhone 5 in Brisbane's Queen Street Mall

First in line was 22-year-old Jonathan Ries, who calls himself "the ultimate queuer".
He said by the time the phone was due out at 8am, he would have been waiting 10 hours.
"I didn't sleep much at all," he said.
"I've been up since 6am yesterday and here since 10pm last night.
"The true Apple fans don't pre-order. They line up. I'm expecting a lot of happiness and relief once I get the phone."

Really if getting this phone is the most happy and excited thing that is happening in your life you should consider reevaluating a few things.

Back on the lip balm train

After a week of giving up lip balm and doing pretty well to get myself down to only using it twice a day I have caved... but it feels fantastic!!

I am going to work on a theory that it is food related and not my lip balm... if it comes back sometime this week I will reconsider but for now I just love the stuff too much and giving it up it far too painful.

Nightmare view of the state

So you have managed to convince so many people that we are in such dire need of help here in qld that people no longer need or deserve your help.. Well done you fucktards.
If you want to get me to believe in this bullshit you sprout how about starting with cutting yours and all your mates wages before you put half the public service out of work? How about you don't plan buildings and furniture for you and yours that will cost more than you are saving by taking away our jobs and our arts and now even the finance help to our kids to buy a home.

Such poison you push forward about how horrible it all is, but last I heard the things were we would be out of debt in a few years anyway... You are like an idiot who can't see that some debt for a small time can be better than no debt right. Debt can be good it can give those kids who grow up in the middle of nowhere the chance to play in a big band and feed their hoes and dreams. But I guess your goal is to keep everyone fearful and hurt so that you can rule from your ivory tower for as long as possible.

Dirty CSS and sore feet

Further to my previous rant on how terribly annoying fonts can be to a developer (Me) is just how dirty and nasty my CSS has had to become thanks to the terribleness that is Cufon.
Now don't get me wrong I think Cufon is a fantastic tool and is great to make changes to headers and other things that should look fancy, but when your designer goes overboard and the whole page starts using it it is likely to just become a jumbled mess of negative margins and tweaks.

I wonder why we have this obsession with wearing pretty shoes and who created them so they hurt so very very much! How hard is it really to make a pair of flat shoes that don't cause my feet to bleed?
It's not like they are even $10 shoes here either I happened to have paid closer to the $100 mark for them... but they are so so pretty, maybe with a few more days of pain they will stop causing so many issues...

Oh fonts how I dislike thee

Fonts!

A designers best friend but making my development life hard.

I know they are one of those things that people say are fantastic and you can do so much to a page design with them but I personally can't stand them, with all your many types and then types within types and now here I sit trying to pry the right combination out of you!

I am a lip balm addict

It's true I am!

At the peak of the addiction I had no less than 5 lip balms (all the same type) between my home, my work and my handbag.

I apply it about every 15-30 minutes during the day, which when you think about it is a lot of lip balm.

I have recently started to get some random sore spot on my top lip which the only thing I can think would be causing it is the lip balm.. so I am taking on giving up the lip balm!

So far today I have only applied it twice (it's 10:30am) and I am finding it very difficult and I start to wonder about just changing which one I use, but really it's still an issue and so I will push through with my sore lips and hope that the pain starts to fade pretty quickly...

Anyway it's almost ice cream cake time so I am going to go and continue dreaming of the time 15 minutes ago when I applied my last lot of balm and how wonderfully refreshed my lips felt.

*sigh*
